Tainan Art Museum

A contemporary Art Museum located in the city of Tainan, known as Taiwan’s center for Buddhist studies. Taking a clue from a nearby temple precinct, we have designed a simple rectilinear frame to house the galleries in counterpoint with jewel-like figures for the public programs. The galleries frame a quiet courtyard space as a respite from the active urban fabric surrounding the Museum, while the iconic public programs provide a distinctive identity for this new cultural precinct.
