E/V House

A modest addition to an existing hunting lodge converted twenty years ago for living. The new pavilion contains bedroom and bathroom, and opens to a generous deck. The design language of the addition is distinct from the existing lodge, yet tied in through the use of materials. The light scoops and forty-five degree geometries bring light and views to the interior at the same time as they create a vertical presence that complements the familiar pitched–roof form of the original building.
